Comment:
Ancylostoma caninum eggs 64 x 40 microns from the faeces of a dog - saline preparation (note egg is a little longer but otherwise similar to Ancylostoma duodenale). A caninum adults are found in the intestine of dogs and rarely one worm only has been found in the intestine of humans especially in North Queensland where it has caused eosinophilic enteritis. More commonly, the larvae cause cutaneous larva migrans or creeping eruption in the skin of humans.
